The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce will put its first international office in Wuxi, China.
The chamber announced the new office during a presentation on Gwinnett’s business opportunities to 30 Chinese companies in Wuxi, a city of more than 4 million people just west of Shanghai.
The office will help Gwinnett companies expand into China, according to a chamber news release.
Members of Gwinnett’s economic development staff are in China on a preliminary trip to organize a five-city trade mission in April.
The new office builds on a Gwinnett-Wuxi friendship fostered by reciprocal visits over the past year.
