Trade delegations of qualified high technology buyers from 28 countries are scheduled to attend SUPERCOMM 2002, a communications and information technology exhibition and conference to take place at the Georgia World Congress Center, June 2-6.
Representatives of local companies seeking to meet with foreign delegates are encouraged to take advantage of conferences organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service to be held at the GWCC’s International Business Center, Room B401.
The meetings are part of the department’s International Buyer Program that recruits and qualifies international buyers and distributors.
Trade experts from U.S. embassies and consulates, as well as 15 Atlanta-based consulates and bi-national chambers of commerce, will be available to discuss exporting and other international business opportunities. Trade advisers will also match U.S. companies with foreign buyers.
Wireless telecommunications services will be featured products at the conference, reflecting the continued growth of U.S. exports of such technologies to Canada, Japan and Mexico.
The U.S. Commercial Service is the export promotion agency of the Commerce Department and focuses on assisting small- and medium-sized U.S. companies to increase their international business. The service has trade specialists in 107 U.S. offices and 162 U.S. embassies and consulates overseas.
