The Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, which currently has more than 1,000 individual and corporate members, has elected new officers to its board of directors.

The chairperson for 2005-2006 is Teresa Palacios Smith, vice president of business development and cultural initiatives at Prudential Atlanta Georgia Realty Inc., who replaces Carlos Papoaga, manager of Hispanic community relations for the Coca-Cola Co. Mr. Papoaga will remain on the board.

Other officers are Ralph Perales, attorney with Perales & Fernandez LLP, chair-elect; Al Moreno, group vice president at SunTrust Bank Inc., vice-chair; Harold Jackson, CEO of Jackson Heath Group Inc., treasurer; Teresa Esquivel, president of RadioMex Inc., secretary and Scott Moran, corporate counsel for BellSouth International Inc., parliamentarian. The 11 directors on the 2005-06 board are HollyBeth Anderson, GHCC member; Carlos Astolfi, senior vice president & regional controller at Turner Broadcasting System Inc.; Del Clark, corporate relations program manager at Georgia Power Co.; Nick Gold, director of community & media relations at AGL Resources Inc.; Bob Jiménez, director corporate communications at Cox Enterprises Inc.; Carlos Sanchez, president of Precision 2000 Inc.; Pat Wildenburg, supply chain management corporate operations for Delta Air Lines Inc.; Monica Maldonado, president of Interprint Communications Inc.; Leticia Willis, president of Willis Mechanical Inc.; Susana Chavez, vice president of Parking Company of America Inc. and Gabriel Vaca, manager sales support worldwide services for United Parcel Service Inc.
