Hooters of America LLC is set to enter Thailand, the latest in a string of international openings for the hot-wing chain known for its scantily clad waitresses in white tank tops and orange shorts.
Hooters has reached a deal with Destination Resorts Inc. to open three restaurants in the next three years, starting in the tropical tourism hub of Patong, a city in the Phuket province.
In the last three months, the Atlanta-based chicken chain has opened new outlets in Costa Rica, Japan, South Africa, El Salvador, China and Brazil, bringing its store tally to 412 in 44 states and 28 countries.
