The Japan-America Society of Georgia is seeking businesses to host Japanese university students for one-month internships from Nov. 17 to Dec. 12.

Thirty students from Obirin University’s College of Business Management are studying English as a second language and business English at either the Georgia Institute of Technology or Mercer University. To earn college credit during their Georgia experience, students must complete a four-week internship at a local company.

Students can work 25-40 hours and five days a week. The program helps companies open their staff members up to another culture while influencing the life of a rising business student. They also gain manpower to assist with a variety of pressing tasks.

Applications to host an intern are due Oct. 20. Contact Executive Director Yoshi Domoto at jasgevents@mindspring.com or by phone at 404-842-1400 to apply.
