While it bolsters Georgia‘s efforts in India, the USA-India Business Summit has become a regional conference attracting speakers from all over both countries, organizers said. 

“It has come to serve as a strategic catalyst to grow our innovation and targeted industries, particularly health science and technology, by helping to tap India’s resources and knowledge to help companies grow,” said Jorge Fernandez, vice president of economic development at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. 

Mr. Fernandez joined UIBS organizer Ani Agnihotri on a trip to India in July to promote both metro Atlanta and the conference, which is in its fourth year and is set to take place Sept. 11-12. 

Indian Ambassador Nirupama Rao is slated to speak, along with Manhattan Associates CEO Eddie CapelAmul Dairy Managing Director Rahul KumarSBS Worldwide Inc. CEO Lars Kloch and Sam Pitroda, chairman of the National Innovation Council of India, among many others.
