R. Allen Judd, co-founder of the Japan America Society of Georgia and a former director of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, has joined the international trade division of the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism (GDITT).
In his position as export program manager for industrial machinery and equipment, Mr. Judd will be responsible for creating, promoting and managing an international marketing and sales development plan for Georgia-based manufacturers.
“A key element of this mission is the expansion of industrial job creation and revenue generation throughout the state with special attention to the growth outside of metro Atlanta,” Mr. Judd said in an interview with GlobalFax.
Mr. Judd has had an extensive international banking, financial services and consulting career in Atlanta including serving from 1988-1993 as the senior American officer in the U.S. for the Tokyo-based Yasuda Trust & Banking Co.
He also is a member of the board of advisers of The Center for International Strategy, Technology and Policy of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
