Atlanta-based Web hosting provider Internap Network Services Corp. has purchased Montreal-based iWeb for $145 million in a bid to reach more small clients internationally.

A former Internap customer, iWeb had 2012 revenues of $42 million, providing dedicated servers, server rentals, hardware and other products to more than 10,000 small and mid-sized businesses in 100-plus countries.

Internap, which posted $273.6 million in sales in 2012, acquired Voxel Holdings Inc., a colocation, hosting and cloud services provider, in 2011.

Internap has more than 3,500 domestic and international customers and locations in Atlanta, New York, Boston, Houston, Seattle, and Dallas in the U.S. and Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, and Singapore. The deal with iWeb is expected to close in December.
