Ingrid Hofmann, managing partner of I. K. Hofmann GmbH and executive committee member of the Federal Association of Temporary Work and Personnel Services e.V. in Bavaria, Germany, is to share the story of how her company of 8,000 staff was recently named one of “Bavaria’s Best 50” firms.
Ms. Hofmann is one of some 30 international and local businesswomen who will present during the conference their keys to making connections, communicating and succeeding in the global business environment.
The Crossing Bridges conference, which is being held for the first time in Atlanta, has been organized by Atlanta Women in Business and the German women’s business association Frauen als Unternehmerinnen.
“Even though there are many other international conferences and other women’s conferences, Atlanta has not had an international businesswomen’s conference, so this is an historic event,” said Lya Sorano, one of the organizers of the event.

This year, Ms. Sorano said she expects attendees from across Europe and the United States, including men.

Johnson, vice president of market development for IBM Corp.; Connie Glaser, author of “Different Walks/Different Talks: Bridging the Gender Communications Gap;” Sue Morgan, vice president of franchise food and beverage for InterContinental Hotels Group and Madeline E.
