The American-Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC) is sponsoring a networking reception Tuesday, Dec. 2, to highlight the activities of its Israeli Headquarters Task Force.  The reception will be held in the Club Room of Park Place on Peachtree at 2660 Peachtree Street in Buckhead from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The task force provides referrals for office space, legal and accounting expertise and other needs of Israeli companies considering Atlanta as a site for their U.S. or Southeast U.S. headquarters.

Michael Rosenzweig, chairman of the chamber’s task force, will review its efforts to recruit more Israeli companies.  Other featured speakers will include Eliezer Gruber, CEO of InterTech Information Management, a prominent Israeli entrepreneur and an active member of the AICC’s board, Israel’s Consul General Arye Mekel and Limor Nakar, economic consul to the Southeast.

Since most of the Israeli companies which have recently opened offices here are software companies, Atlanta’s high-tech community is especially encouraged to attend.

Besides the chamber, the event’s co-sponsors are the American Israel Educational Institute and the government of Israel Economic Mission.  Corporate sponsors are the Bank of Hapoalim, the Atlanta law firm of Rogers & Hardin, KPMG Peat Marwick and “Israel at 50” publication of the Atlanta Jewish Times.

The cost is $15 for chamber members and $20 for non-members.  Reservations must be made by calling (404) 874-6970.
