An Israeli firm that helps students transition into jobs is stepping into Atlanta to feel out its potential in the U.S. market.

AcadeME Ltd. has a software platform that helps students to find jobs, universities manage their career development centers and companies search for candidates.

Ronen Kenan, who formerly represented the state of Georgia in Israel but moved to Atlanta last year to start a consultancy bringing Israeli investors here, is acting as the U.S. representative for the firm as it builds awareness here.

“I recommended Atlanta to AcadeME as the ideal location due to the many virtues of Georgia, and adding to that the great academic system of the state with over 320,000 students and over 50 colleges, universities and other schools. We feel it very much resembles Israel and is a great place to start from,” Mr. Kenan said in an email.

He hopes to bring more technology companies to Georgia, adding to the 40-plus Israeli firms with headquarters or substantial operations in the state.

AcadeME is one of the top companies in its sector in Israel and is raising its series A round of funding.
