Tom Glaser, president of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Region, received the Tel Aviv-based Israel-America Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Award on June 4 during the organization’s annual awards dinner in Israel.

Mr. Glaser was presented with the award for his “significant contribution to the enhancement of trade and business between Israel and the United States.”

Since its founding in 1992 with Mr. Glaser as president, the Atlanta chamber has been involved with U.S.-Israel business transactions valued at $900 million that have created jobs in the Southeast.

The Israel-America chamber acknowledged that Atlanta is considered one of the top five centers in North America for Israeli companies.

“I’m very proud of this recognition in Israel of the impact of our work, and look forward to continuing to build business and economic relationships that have earned us this valued reputation,” Mr. Glaser said.

More than 300 Israeli businesspersons and diplomats attended the awards dinner, which was hosted by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Richard Jones at his residence in Herzliya, Israel.
