Kenyan Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka will speak at a town hall meeting in Atlanta on Sunday, May 20.

Mr. Musyoka’s visit comes less than a month after Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga stopped in Atlanta. to speak at a World Affairs Council of Atlanta luncheon.

International attention on the country has intensified since oil was discovered this past March in the northwestern region of Turkana, and campaigning for the Kenyan 2013 presidential and parliamentary elections is already well underway.

The Atlanta meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m., Sunday, May 20, at the DoubleTree Hotel at 2055 South Park Place in Marietta. The event is hosted by the Kenya Diaspora Advisory Council of Georgia.
