Manfred Lahnstein, a former Federal Minister of Finance in Germany who served under Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, will speak on Transatlantic Relations after the German Federal Elections, on Monday, Nov. 2, at a luncheon to be held at the World Trade Center Atlanta.

      The luncheon, which is being hosted by the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern United States, begins with registration at 11:30 a.m.

      Dr. Lahnstein’s remarks are expected to provide insights into policies to be adopted by the government of Social Democrat Chancellor-elect Gerhard Schroeder.  Schmidt was the last Social Democrat to serve as Chancellor.
