Liberia‘s vice president will headline a delegation of officials slated to visit Atlanta for a business conference March 31.
Joseph Nyuma Bokai will lead the group to the Liberia and U.S. Business Summit 2012, which is being organized by Cynthia Blandford Nash, the country’s honorary consul general in Georgia.
The delegation is also to include William V.S. Bull, the Liberian ambassador to the U.S.; Miatta Beslow, minister of commerce, and Mary Broh, the mayor of Monrovia, the country’s capital.
Liberian Chamber of Commerce leaders and other officials are expected to attend the conference, which is to focus on Liberian investment opportunities. Recent oil discoveries and investments in the tourism sector are just a few areas showing that the country is poised for growth, Ms. Nash told GlobalAtlanta.
Attendees will have a chance to set up one-on-one meetings with government ministers.
The cost is $75 or $100 after March 23. Register here or contact the honorary consulate at (404) 590-1655 or mmoses@liberianconsulatega.org.
