Below is a list of cancellations and postponements of this week’s international events, as well as known closings of consulates and trade offices in Atlanta.

-German Language Classes Canceled at Goethe Zentrum. Film screening of ‘Gold’ rescheduled for Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. More here.

-World Affairs Council of Atlanta Breakfast Briefing on Mexico – Event to be rescheduled. Visit www.wacatlanta.org for more information.  

-World Trade Center Atlanta Board Meeting – Rescheduled for Feb. 19

-Georgia’s China Strategies: Networking event with the Georgia China Alliance has been canceled and will be rescheduled to a date in March. Stay tuned here

-InterNations Atlanta mixer rescheduled for Feb. 19 at F&B – link (members only)

-TiE Atlanta Monthly Meeting: Why I did not take outside funding. CANCELED

-Universoul Circus shows Wednesday night and Thursday morning at Turner Field have been canceled, with opening night pushed back until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. More here

Thursday, Feb. 13

-Belgian Chamber: Bra Fittings and Business Lessons – Rescheduled for March 13 at 7 p.m. More here.  

-French American Chamber of Commerce: Women’s Advancement: What Makes a Leader has been rescheduled for Feb. 20. More here

-The Korea Southeast U.S. Chamber of Commerce annual dinner has been rescheduled for Feb. 27. 

Saturday, Feb. 15

British-American Business Group’s Oglethorpe Gala was postponed due to “unforeseen circumstances,” so Winter Storm Pax wasn’t specifically blamed for this one. The event has been rescheduled for Feb. 22.

Consulate closures 

-Consulate General of India – Closed Wednesday, Feb. 12. 

-Consulate General of Mexico – Closed Wednesday, Feb. 12

-Consulate General of Israel – Closed Wednesday, Feb. 12 

-Latin American Association, which houses various consulates, is closed Feb. 12

-Germany

Weather Advisory: The Consulate General will be closed on February 12th due to weather conditions. We will likely only provide limited services on February 13th. Please call ahead to make sure that we are open. (404) 659-4760

-Japan

Due to inclement weather, the Consular Section will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, Feb. 12 and Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. Please call 404-240-4300 for more information

Korea 

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea is closed Wednesday, Feb. 12 and Thursday, Feb. 13 (according to a software translation of a notice in Korean on the consulate’s Facebook page). More here in Korean.

Gov. Nathan Deal has issued an executive order expanding a previously issued “state of emergency” designation to 31 additional counties in metro Atlanta and northern Georgia, bringing the total to 45. See the order here
