Gerard Longuet, president of the Lorraine Region in France and a former Minister of Industry, Telecommunications and Foreign Trade, will visit Atlanta and the state of Georgia Nov. 3-7.

      Mr. Longuet will lead a delegation of 17 high-ranking French officials representing a variety of economic development and academic organizations.

      The delegates have special expertise in the development of wood products, computer science, and medical/health sciences. They will visit local companies in an effort to develop partnerships and to encourage them to establish operations in Lorraine.

      Visits also have been arranged for the delegates at local government offices and Georgia Tech, which has a European campus in the city of Metz in Lorraine.

      Lorraine, which shares borders with Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium, has a Sist

er/State relationship with Georgia.
