Atlanta-based Market Access International, Inc. (MAI), announced last week that Eric A. Lucas, CEO and managing director of LMP Inc. in Decatur, has joined the firm as a principal.
Diane Alleva Cáceres founded MAI in 1996 to offer market entry and investment services to both European and U.S. corporations and economic development agencies. MAI’s clients are now located worldwide.
Mr. Lucas has managed start-up companies in the U.S., Europe, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines for European-based manufacturers of durable consumer goods, technical products and services.
“We found that our collective skills are highly complementary, effective and ideal for MAI’s work in assisting our clients not only design market development strategies but actually manage and evaluate the operations,” Ms. Cáceres told GlobalFax in a telephone interview.
MAI’s client list includes the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism, European Commission and select member countries, the Malta External Trade Corp. and a number of private manufacturing and technology corporations.
Mr. Lucas will be traveling to Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and Sweden this month to meet with key MAI clients as well as implement a healthcare technology transfer project.
