The Trade Commission of Mexico in Atlanta will organize a Mexican Pavilion for exhibitors at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, an annual trade show, to be held at the Americas’ Mart July 5-14. The Mexican exhibits will be on display July 8-12.

Georgia importers, wholesalers and retailers will be able to meet with representatives from some 30 Mexican companies selling handmade silver jewelry, pewter, decorative items, blown glass, ceramic sculptures, clay and plaster accessories, candles and wrought iron furniture and accessories, Graciela Bravo, deputy trade commissioner, told GlobalFax.

The Mexican firms will come from the cities of Chihuahua, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey, San Luis Potosi, Sonora and Tasco, said Ms. Bravo. Ten of the firms will display their items at the Mexican Pavilion in the Americas’ Mart while the others will set up in the Apparel Mart and the Gift Mart nearby.

Retailers such as Rooms To Go and Crate & Barrel import much of their furniture, gifts and decorative accessories from Mexico, said Ms. Bravo, and the country is one of the top five suppliers to the U.S. market for those items.

To find out more about the exhibitors, call Ms. Bravo at (404) 522-5373, ext. 16, or send an e-mail to abravo@bancomext.gob.mx
