Duluth-based NCR Corp. has landed a deal to provide scanner technology to a banking group based in Atlanta’s Japanese sister city, Fukuoka

Fukuoka Financial Group Inc. has three bank subsidiaries mainly concentrated on the island of Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan’s four main islands. 

The iTRAN Image Trac technology sorts paper documents at a speed of up to 438 sheets per minute, scanning and recording digital images. It also can read barcodes and imprint numbers on pages, helping organize and streamline banks’ operations.
