China Southern Airlines, a member of the Sky Team Alliance to which Delta Air Lines Inc. also belongs, has installed NCR Corp. self-service airport check-in kiosks at 10 key hub airports in China.

The airports are located in Haikou, Dalian, Wuhan, Hefei, Chongqing, Urumqi, Guilin, Nanning, Changsha and Zhengzhou.

“We are honored to strengthen our partnership with China Southern by making travel easier and more convenient for its passengers with innovative technology that streamlines and improves the passenger experience,” Tyler Craig, NCR travel vice president and general manager, said in a June 4 news release.

According to the release, NCR is China Southern’s primary supplier for self-service check-in solutions, which enable passengers to check-in, access flight information, register for membership, scan and print boarding passes and check mileage status.

Airports in Beijing and Guangzhou serve as China Southern’s main hubs. The airline has more than 1,930 daily flights to 193 destinations in 35 countries.

The Sky Team Alliance currently has 19 members including China Airlines and China Eastern, which also deploy NCR kiosks. In March 2014, Garuda Indonesia airlines is scheduled to join the alliance.
