The Bank of Ningbo, which was ranked 279 in assets among China’s top 1,000 banks in 2012, has installed NCR Corp.’s software management solution for the bank’s 500 automated teller machines (ATMs).

Duluth-headquartered NCR’s terminal management solution provides real-time monitoring and recovery ability to ensure the ATM network’s availability and security, according to an NCR news release.

“We are proud to transform Bank of Ningbo’s ATM network with NCR’s total management solution in making their everyday life easier with a truly open platform for new banking services development,” said Gary Miao, president of Financial Services, NCR Greater China, in the release.

Established in 1997, Bank of Ningbo now has eight branches in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Wenzhou, Beijing and Wuxi.

NCR has rapidly escalated its services to Chinese banks since 2008 when it secured orders for approximately 6,000 ATMs from China’s top five commercial banks.
