Richard Clegg, who formerly led the Canadian government’s export development efforts in Mexico, has been appointed as investment officer at the Canadian Consulate General in Atlanta.

Mr. Clegg promotes Canadian business abroad and helps Canadian companies introduce their products, services or technologies to the Southeast. He also assists non-Canadian companies to invest in Canada or to source Canadian goods and services.

He has experience in food and beverages, industrial automation, production engineering, remote sensing and machine vision, as well as the aerospace and defense industries.

Mr. Clegg joined the Canadian government in 1998 in Ottawa, where he led the government’s agri-business commerce efforts in Eastern Europe and Russia.
