Newell Rubbermaid Inc. has appointed Eduardo Senf, current president of Latin American operations, to the newly created position of president of Newell Rubbermaid International.

The position consolidates two positions that currently encompass all regions outside of North America, according to a company news release.

Mr. Senf, 50, succeeds Magnus Nicolin in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Mr. Nicolin is leaving the company after three years to pursue other interests.

A Brazil native, Mr. Senf joined Newell Rubbermaid in 2004 as president of its Rubbermaid and Irwin businesses in Latin America and the Caribbean. He was named president of Latin American operations in 2008.
