New York Times columnist and Pulitzer Prize-winner Nicholas Kristof will not appear at Kennesaw State University on Thursday, Feb. 3, due to flight delays in Cairo, Egypt, where he has been reporting and blogging this week.
In his blog posts Wednesday, he reported on what he termed “violent government-sponsored crackdowns using thugs and mobs of hoodlums.” Click here to follow his reports from Egypt.
Mr. Kristof has reported on the democracy movement in China, the crisis in Darfur and human rights abuses throughout Africa and Asia.
He was scheduled to launch Kennesaw State’s “Pathways to Peace” lecture series on Thursday at the Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Center.
According to a Kennesaw State press release, efforts are underway to reschedule the lecture.
