A business delegation from Manchester, England, to Atlanta last week further strengthened the formal alliance between the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“It’s too early to tell just what will come out of the mission,” said Lynn Shaw, head of the Manchester chamber’s international department, but she added that the Atlanta companies contacted should be more aware of the opportunities for entering the European market.

Representatives of some of the English companies also were looking for distributors for products here and joint ventures, she added.

In September, a 10-person delegation from Atlanta including the Metro chamber’s president, Gerald Bartels, and Randy Cardoza, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Industry and Trade, visited Manchester where the alliance was signed.  The alliance seeks to assist member companies’ entry into their respective markets,
