The fifth annual USA India Business Summit has confirmed Phil Martens, president and CEO of Novelis Inc., and Christoph Remund, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding in the U.S., as two of its keynote speakers for the Sept. 17-18 event. 

The chief executives are to join government officials and diplomats including U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce Arun Kumar, along with Ajit Kumar, India’s consul general in the Southeast U.S., who is based in Atlanta. Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black has also been invited, along with a variety of other business and educational leaders. See the full list here 

Novelis, the Atlanta-based aluminum giant, is a subsidiary of the Aditya Birla Group, an Indian conglomerate. Representatives in the past have spoken at the summit about the advantages of having the backing of an Indian company while approaching markets in the U.S. and Latin America

An awards banquet is to be held the evening of Sept. 17, with honors to be doled out in the following categories: exports to the U.S. or India, business collaboration, young entrepreneur, outstanding business leader and community builder.
