DESCRIPTION:The Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta (ISB) celebrates the legacy of Muhammad Ali at their annual gala with Maryum Ali\, daughter of the legendary boxer. Ms. Ali will be “in conversation” about her father with Valerie Jackson\, radio host\, philanthropist\, and former first lady of Atlanta. It promises to be an exciting evening of inspiration\, networking\, and honoring key individuals for their contributions to Atlanta and the State of Georgia. \nMaryum Ali\, affectionately known as “May May\,” was the eldest of her beloved father’s nine children. As a little girl\, her father asked her what she thought her purpose in life was and she replied\, “I want to help people.” Her efforts to help people have manifested in a myriad of ways throughout her life. \nThis year’s gala is emceed by Greg Bluestein\, political reporter with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.  The faith community will be represented by Rabbi Sam Kaye\, Assistant Rabbi\, The Temple; Dr. Simon Mainwaring\, Rector\, All Saints Episcopal\, and Jelen Naim\, principal of Al-Falah Academy and former ISB board member. \n\n\n\n	From the archive:

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. on November 4th  at the Cobb Galleria\, join the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta in celebrating the accomplishments of men and women from across the Metro area who help to make our city and state a better place in which to live. Through their efforts they confirm the importance\, especially in these turbulent times in our country\, for us as individuals and as communities to overcome our differences and find ways to come together and work to make Atlanta and Georgia better each day.\nThis will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate accomplishments and unite as one community. Honorees include The Right Rev. Robert C. Wright\, 10th bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta \, and Arthur Blank\, founder of the Arthur M. Blank Foundation\, and owner of the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta United FC. More honorees will be announced soon.
