Holder Chair at the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a thought leader and researcher on digital innovation and transformation\, with extensive experience in organizational capability-building and leadership and talent development for a digital age. Dr. Alavi is a highly regarded educator and advisor and has held academic leadership positions at Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology. \n\n\n\nDr. Alavi’s prolific academic contributions include numerous published papers and serving on the editorial boards of several prestigious business and technology journals. Dr. Alavi’s body of work has received numerous citations\, placing her within the top 2% of the world’s most-cited researchers by the Meta-Research Innovation Center at Stanford University. \n\n\n\nDr. Alavi is a sought-after speaker at national and international forums and conferences and has taught in executive programs at some of the world’s most prestigious business schools. She leads a team of internal and external communications professionals for the North America region. Before joining Sage\, she was head of Internal\, Corporate Communications\, Meetings & Events at IHG for 4 years\, where she spearheaded a variety of new initiatives that impacted internal colleagues and external customers. \n\n\n\nPrior to this role\, Renee was the Corporate Communications Lead for Delta Vacations\, responsible brand positioning in top tier trade publications\, while driving engagement in consumer direct channels. She led a team responsible for press releases\, editorial/advertorial content\, and on-air opportunities\, while she steered executive speaking opportunities\, media interviews and executive media training. Renee has served as the primary spokesperson for all PR and media related inquiries for Delta Vacations and IHG. She is skilled at public speaking and presentation management\, with a firm grasp on messaging\, branding\, events management and public relations. \n\n\n\nRenee led the Delta Vacations Corporate Communications efforts to include Internal Communications\, Executive Communications\, Public Relations & Media Relations\, CSR & Community Affairs\, Corporate Sponsorships and Social Media. At IHG\, she developed an integrated communications strategy to support the organization’s Sustainability\, Renewable Energy\, Decarbonization and Community Impact initiatives. She also initiated corporate communications for leadership to support a variety of internal and external communications campaigns to increase awareness of IHG’s contributions to our planet\, people and communities. She served in the company’s Return to Office task force\, partnering with all lines of business to drive awareness of Covid-19 and successfully bring colleagues back to the office in the Americas region. We host quarterly educational & networking events with the goal of bringing together women in the Atlanta international community. \nPanelists: \nAnne Marie Colombo\, CISSP\, Cybersecurity Solution Advisor\, SAP \nIn her role Anne Marie Colombo focuses on cybersecurity and identity solutions and aligns cybersecurity best practices\, thought leaders\, partners\, and solutions for holistic enterprise security for customers. Her background includes providing solutions in the areas of data protection\, identity\, multi-factor authentication and encryption to secure SAP and other applications. She holds a Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2. She currently serves as the President of the Metro Atlanta Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) chapter as well as on the board of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Information Security Society. \nCynthia Curry\, Director of IoT\, Metro Atlanta Chamber \nCynthia Curry is passionate about supporting\, building\, and promoting the region’s IoT ecosystem. Her mission is to drive collaboration and engagement within the IoT and mobile community to strengthen Metro Atlanta’s position as a technological powerhouse. She has helped MAC launch IoT.ATL\, a consortium of business\, government\, and non-profit leaders united to help Metro Atlanta to become a globally recognized leader in IoT innovation. She leads the MAC IoT / Mobile Leadership Council\, who implements the guiding principles of IoT.ATL\, and will help put Atlanta on the map for their IoT and Smart Cities innovation. Cynthia has helped nurture Atlanta technology companies for over 20 years. \nDeBrae Kennedy-Mayo\, Research Faculty Member\, Georgia Institute of Technology \nAt Georgia Tech DeBrae Kennedy engages in research on legal and policy issues concerning privacy and cybersecurity. Along with Peter Swire she co-authored the 2018 edition of U.S. Private Sector Privacy: Law and Practice for Information Privacy Professionals\, IAPP’s book used by those studying for privacy certification. They also co-authored the 2017 Emory Law Journal article entitled\, “Why Both the EU and US are ‘Stricter’ than Each Other for the Privacy of Government Requests for Information\,” which examined privacy protections provided in EU law as well as those that exist in US law.
