Pest control services company Orkin Inc., a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Rollins Inc., will launch its first franchise in Ireland in March.

The company’s 15th international franchise will help new customers fend off pests, including rodents and insects that thrive in the island’s temperate, rainy climate, said Tom Luczynski, Orkin’s vice president of international development and franchising.

The franchise will primarily serve businesses but will also offer some home pest control services.

Irish businessman and franchisee Donal Butterly will travel to Atlanta this month for orientation at Orkin’s headquarters and training center before returning to Dublin.
