Georgia companies are being invited to apply for complimentary access to Pakistan’s largest industrial show, set to be held in Lahore in April.

The Health Engineering and Mineral Show from April 17-19 offers a chance to meet more than 300 exhibiting companies across a variety of industries, from agricultural machinery and automotive parts to construction materials, cookware and cosmetics.

Themed around “Building a Sustainable Future Together,” HEMS 2025 will constitute the largest assemblage of local suppliers and foreign buyers for the year in the country of 235 million people, which has ample mineral wealth, a growing tech sector and a strong base in textiles with competitively priced labor.

Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States outlined opportunities in the country during a briefing with Global Atlanta in January, noting that it seeks to be a “bridge country” during a time of tariff tension. While partnering with China on infrastructure, Pakistan is simultaneously seeking to boost trade ties with the U.S., its largest export market.

Pakistan’s location and history as a trading nation are now a boon for the country as the world’s economic center of gravity shifts to Asia, said Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh during the discussion with Global Atlanta. “The same geography which lends us political significance lends us economic significance,” Mr. Sheikh said, inviting U.S. companies and tourists to visit and leave changed by the dramatic Himalayan peaks and hospitality of the people.

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Houston is facilitating applications from qualified companies, which are eligible to receive all their expenses (excluding airfare) reimbursed by the organizers to the tune of $1,800 in value. Three days of included lodging will be at five-star hotels.

“HEMS is particularly valuable for businesses aiming to expand market reach, source new technologies, or secure investment in these high-growth industries,” said Salman Raza, trade and investment attache at the consulate, who visited Atlanta for the ambassador briefing at Miller & Martin PLLC

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan will help facilitate targeted business meetings and factory tours, and beyond in-country connections, the authority expects to host 600 foreign delegates from 65 countries.

Minerals to be sourced include copper, gems and precious stones, gold, chromite, talc and more.
