Atlanta’s chapter of the American Council on Germany and Goethe-Institut Atlanta will host a discussion on U.S.-European relations at a reception honoring Bill Drozdiak, president of the council, at the Atlanta law firm of Powell Goldstein LLP on Monday, Jan. 10, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Mr. Drozdiak is the incoming president of the council, which is headquartered in New York. He previously served as the executive director of the German Marshall Fund’s Transatlantic Center in Brussels, which is the first independent American policy institute there devoted to U.S.-European relations.

Before joining GMF in 2001, he was the chief European correspondent based in Brussels for the Washington Post.

The discussion topic will be “U.S.-European Relations after the U.S. Elections: Further Estrangement or Reconciliation?”
