Poland‘s ambassador to the U.S. is slated to visit Atlanta on March 31 to officially open the European nation’s honorary consulate here.

Ambassador Robert Kupiecki will announce the appointment of Atlanta employment and civil rights attorney Lawrence Ashe Jr. as the country’s representative in Georgia.

Mr. Ashe is the brother of Victor Ashe, who served as U.S. ambassador to the country from 2004-09.

A ceremony is scheduled at City Hall for 2:30 p.m.
