StuttgartGermany-based Porsche Consulting GmbH is setting up a subsidiary in Atlanta in October with 10 consultants.

Porsche Consulting Inc., the U.S. operation, is the company’s third overseas subsidiary after Milan and Sao Paulo.

According to Norman Firchau, president and CEO of the new subsidiary, growing demand for the company’s services in the U.S. spurred the move.

Porsche Consulting will help its customers manage supply chains, boost efficiency and optimize research and development. The firm aims to get 20 percent of its revenues from Porsche and Volkswagen and 80 percent from other companies.

Porsche Consulting Gmbh is a subsidiary of German automaker Porsche AG. It offers business expertise in many sectors, including automotive, mechanical engineering, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and health care.

Porsche Cars North America Inc. is based in Atlanta and recently announced that it would spend $100 million to move its headquarters from Sandy Springs to a major development near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
