Atlanta-based Porsche Cars North America Inc. has named a new vice president of marketing for the U.S.
Andre Oosthuizen comes from the German automaker’s Middle East and North Africa unit in Dubai, where he launched new models and developed sales and marketing campaigns for 20 countries.
Mr. Oosthuizen also helped bring to life a new racing series, the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East.
The 39-year-old will move to Atlanta with his wife and two children and will begin working at the Porsche Cars North America headquarters on Sept. 26.
Porsche announced in May that it would spend $100 million to move its headquarters from Sandy Springs to a major mixed-use development near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The complex will include a test track to showcase the company’s sports cars. It will also house a technical training center. Along with the move, Porsche’s business and financial services subsidiaries will be moved from Chicago to Atlanta.
