The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) is hosting the USDA Outreach Program’s “Agricultural Export Opportunities: A Focus on U.S. Trade with Taiwan” on July 21 and 22 in Atlanta.
USDA/Foreign Agriculture Service trade officer Daniel Martinez, who is now serving in Taipei, will visit Atlanta to speak about the global market and export opportunities that exist for American agricultural products in Taiwan. Mr. Martinez will also be available to comment on trade issues related to the recent decolonization of Hong Kong and its subsequent return to China.
The GDA’s International Trade Division will schedule individual appointments with Mr. Martinez for Georgia companies interested in conducting business in this foreign market.
Scheduled events include a Roundtable Discussion at 9 a.m. Monday, July 21 in Room 201 of the Agriculture Building, 19 Martin Luther King Dr., and a reception from 5:50-7:30 p.m. at the World Trade Club Atlanta on the following day. Individual company meetings hosted by the GDA can be scheduled on July 21 from 1-4 p.m. and on July 22 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. All events are free, and there are still spaces available for the Roundtable.
