One of Israel‘s most renowned entrepreneurs is slated to give the keynote speech at the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce‘s 20th anniversary gala.

Jonathan Medved, an American venture capitalist who moved to Israel in the 1990s, will speak at the chamber’s annual Eagle Star Awards event at the Westin Perimeter Atlanta Hotel on June 12.

Mr. Medved founded Israel Seed Partners in 1995, growing it from less than $2 million to more than $260 million before he departed to become CEO of mobile software company Vringo a decade later.

He was featured prominently in the 2009 book “Startup Nation”, which chronicles Israel’s emergence as a hub for high-tech entrepreneurship and cutting-edge research.

The chamber will honor the Israeli company of the year and the deal of the year between a Southeast U.S. company and an Israeli firm.
