Atlanta-based Salesloft is doubling its European staff across three countries and opening a data center in Germany as growth takes off in the region.
The sales software provider has more than doubled revenues (a 125 percent increase) on the continent in the past year, and it plans to grow the team across the United Kingdom, France and Germany as more European companies embrace digital selling amid the pandemic.
According to a spokesperson, Salesloft has seen increased demand for tools that help salespeople do their jobs from home; this week, the company announced a rebranding as a new interface it’s calling the “Modern Revenue Workspace” — a single platform where sellers can track all their activity and engagement from anywhere, with data and artificial intelligence built into the workflow.
“When COVID-19 forced companies to pivot to digital selling, the sales tech market exploded,” said Salesloft CEO Kyle Porter in a news release. “But more software has actually made sellers’ lives harder. They’re failing to hit revenue targets because too much of their time is spent navigating between tools and doing manual work arounds.”
The Modern Revenue Workspace is designed to address these problems.
This week’s announcements come after Salesloft’s milestone earlier this year that it had reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue; it also added Calendly CEO and Co-founder Tope Awotona to its board of directors. Also based in Atlanta, the scheduling software firm run by Mr. Awotona was valued at $3 billion based on its latest $350 million fundraising round.
Salesloft itself reached “unicorn” status — a categorization for privately held companies valued at more than $1 billion — in January 2021, nine years after its founding and just two months before the pandemic began. The company hinted at an international expansion with that $100 million Series E round, noting that it was seeing demand in France, Germany and Australia.
