Small business leaders from Southeast Asia will meet with counterparts in Atlanta to discuss potential business partnerships and share information on designing supply chains in the fast-growing region.
The U.S. Commercial Service is organizing the series of logistics roundtables and peer-to-peer discussions along with the trade ministry of the Philippines, which this year will host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation’s annual summit.
Companies will learn about cold-chain infrastructure, using IT to manage supply chains, how to deal with regulations multinational companies in Southeast Asia, and more. The event will focus on four tracks: supply chain management, health care products and non-tariff barriers, global value chains and non-tariff measures in accordance with the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement.
Taiwan, which participates in APEC under the name “Chinese Taipei,” will host a seminar on using accelerators to fuel the growth of startup companies. That event will feature testimonials from international executives and leaders of startups.
Participants in the free event will be given the opportunity to tour a cold-chain facility in Atlanta.
