Bill Lambiase is the newly appointed executive director of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce-Georgia. He is the vice president for the logistics operations of BLG Logistics Inc., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BLG Logistics Group, an international logistics service provider. BLG Logistics Inc. is headquartered in Atlanta and also has an office in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

A restructuring of the Bremen Warehouse Co. based in Bremen, Germany, formed the group, which has subsidiaries and holding companies on several continents, in 1998. Atlanta-based BLG Logistics Inc. opened in 2004.

The Bremen Warehouse Co. was originally formed in 1877 when 65 businesspeople decided to concentrate their warehouses that were spread throughout the city of Bremen at the port of Bremerhaven.

Gail Rockburne, a former member of the chamber’s board of directors, has been appointed the chamber’s business development manager. Ms. Rockburne served on the board of advisers for the Swedish American Entrepreneurial Days Savannah 2009 and was active in recruiting sponsors and participants for the event.

Mr. Lambiase replaces Constance Arvidson-Krause, vice president of business development for BaxterKrause Executive Placement Inc., who is assuming new responsibilities at IBI South, an international business incubator recently opened in Atlanta.
