Creative Home Ideas has a global footprint for sourcing but is based in the United States.

Creative Home Ideas, a New Jersey-based provider of bedding, rugs, curtains and other textiles that sources from across Asia, is set to open a Liberty County warehouse and light manufacturing facility that will employ 70 people.

The subsidiary of YMF Carpets Inc. buys from factories in Pakistan, India, Turkey and China and boasts a showroom in New York and warehouses in New Jersey, California and Canada. It has no current facilities in the Southeast U.S., according to its website.

The coastal Georgia location will allow the company to take “advantage of the proximity to the Port of Savannah,” said YMF CEO Yaron Shemesh in a news release by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s office.

Under license, Creative Home Ideas manufactures the home brands of Juicy Couture, Lucky, Laura Ashley, Jessica Simpson and Nautica, with its products appearing in many major retailers across the U.S.

Georgia Ports Authority Executive Director Griff Lynch said the facility will “set the company at the center of a logistics hub that puts global and domestic markets within easy reach.”

That fits with Liberty County’s economic development slogan, which focuses on a theme of international market access: “Come Grow Globally.”

The location is set to be operational in 2024 in Tradeport East Business Center at 1962 Sunbury Road in Midway. Hiring will soon begin for positions in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, customer service and other areas. Send an email here to learn more about job opportunities.
