Naresh Chandra, the Indian ambassador to the U.S., has confirmed that he will attend the inaugural banquet of the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce Inc. (GIACC) to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 20, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Sheraton Colony Square Hotel in midtown.
A former cabinet secretary, the highest post in the entire Indian Civil Service, Mr. Chandra has been ambassador to the U.S. since 1996.
Others guests who will attend the event include Rinzing Wangdi, consul general of India based in Houston, and R. K. Sehgal, commissioner, Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism (GDITT).
