The Atlanta-based public relations firm of Tortorici & Company Inc. announced that it has been named the corporate and international public relations agency of record for Rubbermaid Inc. based in Wooster, Ohio.
Rubbermaid is a $2.4 billion, NYSE-listed company doing business throughout the U.S. and in more than 100 other countries with some 4,000 household, family and industrial products.
According to Anthony J. Tortorici, president and CEO, his firm also has increased its commitment to developing international accounts with the hiring of Joel R. Alan as managing director.
A veteran senior public relations executive with international experience in Europe, North and South America, Russia and the Ukraine, Mr. Tortorici has served with General Electric, Heublein, Coca-Cola and Ogilvy & Mather prior to launching his firm in 1992.
Mr. Alan has had more than a decade of international experience, having formerly represented Hill & Knowlton and Ogilvy & Mather in Spain and International Numismatic Management, s.a. (INM) in Belgium.
His responsibilities with INM included the marketing of Barcelona, Lillehammer and Atlanta Olympic coins worldwide, with emphasis on Europe, the Middle East – especially Jordan and Egypt – Taiwan and several Pacific Rim countries, including Singapore and Malaysia.
