2018 Europe Day Luncheon: France Emergent
May 9, 2018 at 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
The European Union celebrates May 9 as ‘Europe Day’ and so does the World Affairs Council. In their 5th Annual Europe Day Luncheon, they will take an in-depth look at France.
France is taking the wheel along with Germany as a driving force of the European Union. While President Emmanuel Macron juggles domestic economic reform and overhauling the EU, he is also pushing to make the French economy more competitive. As French companies are increasing their presence in Atlanta and the Southeast, how can France leverage its influence in the U.S. to improve U.S.-EU relations?
In partnership with the Consulate General of France in Atlanta, the Council is bringing together a panel of experts to discuss France, its growing political and economic influence, and U.S.-France trade and investment.
Featuring:
- Louis de Corail, Consul General, Consulate General of France in Atlanta
- Francois Asselin, President, French Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CPME)
- Hélène Touré, Director of French Desk at YER and former Executive Director of the Alliance Francaise d’Atlanta
