Law Firm Troutman Sanders LLP is boosting its presence in China to over 20 professionals with the addition of an international trade practice group obtained from the New York-based law firm Kaye Scholer LLP.

The new group brings a team of 11 legal professionals to Troutman Sanders. Nine of these professionals will join the firm’s Washington office, and the other two will join the firm’s Shanghai office, which opened earlier this year.

The group will represent international corporations and foreign governments involved in trade remedies cases, such as antidumping and countervailing duty laws, as well as international arbitration representations.

Coupling the Shanghai office with Troutman Sanders’ Hong Kong office, which has been operational since 1997, the firm has a staff of nearly 50 professionals in China to assist Asian-based clients with local and international legal matters.
