A high-ranking delegation of Northern Irish political leaders, including its Minister of State, Adam Ingram, is scheduled to visit Atlanta on Monday, Oct. 26, as part of a tour of U.S. and Canadian cities to attract investment to their homeland.
U.S. Secretary of Commerce William Daley is to accompany the delegation, which is to provide an executive briefing on the strengths of Northern Ireland’s workforce, modern transportation and telecommunications infrastructures and research and development facilities.
The briefing will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Bulkhead beginning with registration and refreshments at 5 p.m., followed by the program at 6 p.m. and a reception.
Charles R. Eitel, president and COO of Interface Inc., and Ian Craig, president of Nortel Broadband Networks, are to provide testimonials of their experiences establishing facilities in Northern Ireland.
Allan Gillespie, chairman, the Industrial Development Board of Ireland, and U.S. Senator Max Cleland, D.-Ga., also are to attend.
