SUMMARY:Great Powers and Global Peace: Different Perspectives From India\, China and the U.S.
DESCRIPTION:The U.S. is the superpower; India is the largest democracy in the world; China is the second largest economy and most populous country. What these three countries do now and in the future will have a huge impact on peace and prosperity in the world. \nHow can Delhi\, Washington\, and Beijing work together in sustaining peace and prosperity? Will differences in the political system and values make it impossible for such grand collaboration to take place? What lessons can be drawn from a recent border dispute between China and India? How should the U.S. approach the proliferation issue in the Korean Peninsula? \nThese are the questions that will be addressed by expert speakers: \n-Ambassador Arun Singh\, former Indian Ambassador to the U.S. \n-Hank Levine\, former American Consul General in Shanghai \n\n\n	From the archive:

SUMMARY:Global Emergencies and Mental Health Forum
DESCRIPTION:This forum will bring together humanitarian\, development\, and health experts from France and the US to discuss the present state of mental health and psychosocial care within the framework of relief and development programming. \nAs the humanitarian aid community addresses today’s global crises\, mental health is an important\, yet often overlooked need that is relevant in all phases of emergency and development interventions. Placing particular importance on disaster preparedness\, building capacity\, social reconstruction\, and aid worker mental health and wellness\, this forum will provide an opportunity to discuss current best practices\, obstacles\, and solution-driven\, culturally sensitive approaches as it enhances public awareness of mental health issues and care in emergencies. \nPanelists include representatives from Doctors Without Borders\, the CDC\, The Carter Center\, and Groupe U.R.D. \nPresented as part of France-Atlanta 2016\, this event is co-organized by the Consulate General of France in Atlanta and Emory University’s Center for Humanitarian Emergencies at Rollins School of Public Health\, and Laney Graduate School’s Master’s in Development Practice. \nIt is free and open to the public. A networking reception will follow. \n\n\n	From the archive:
