SUMMARY:Grimm Night - Grim Tales: An Eerie Happy Hour of Unhappy Endings
DESCRIPTION:On February 9 through March 2\, PushPush Arts Theater and Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta present the premiere of “Grimm Night – Grim Tales”\, an eerie happy hour of unhappy endings and grotesquerie\, a tragic comedy inspired by 18 unknown tales of the world-famous Brothers Grimm\, the writers behind such popular fairy tales like Cinderella\, Snow White\, and many others. But beware: the tales in this production are not for little children. Surprisingly modern and utterly from “once upon a time”\, this production leads the audience through a whirlwind of 18 interconnected short tales\, originating from the dark forests and sparkling castles of old Germany\, exploring the human experience from birth through death\, with an unflinching bluntness that would make even Rumpelstiltskin stand still in disbelief and laughter. \n\n\n\nSelected\, dramatized\, and directed by Goethe Executive Director Oliver Gorf. \n\n\n\nIn English. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	From the archive:

Now\, celebrated actor\, Anthony Skordi\, brings this larger-than-life persona to the stage in his one-man production of Onassis. Aristotle Onassis’ life has been referred to as both a storybook existence\, as well as a Greek tragedy. Skordi has exhaustedly researched the man who entertained everyone from business tycoons and royalty to the icons of stage and screen\, as well as Presidents… and their wives\, to offer a glimpse into the opulent world of the man who made and lived by his own rules as he went along. The billionaire faced scandals\, deaths and what many would call the ‘Onassis Curse.’ \nVeteran Greek-British actor Anthony Skordi will embody the role of Aristotle Onassis. \nAbout Anthony Skordi \nThe talented actor Anthony Skordi was born in London\, England\, to Greek-Cypriot parents. He attended Drama Centre in London\, was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and a member of Vanessa Redgrave’s Moving Theatre Company. He has voiced many video games\, promos\, and trailers and has appeared as series regular on several TV series in Europe\, including in the UK and Greece\, and continues working both in the U.S. and Europe. Among his television roles as series regular\, Skordi played Silas Manatos in Prime Suspect\, and in the U.S. he featured in episodes of popular series such as Scorpion\, The Blacklist\, and The Last Ship.
