SUMMARY:Narratology: A Five From Five Visual Arts Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:How do major international artists get their start? What catapults them to international stardom? These are\nquestions that are asked and considered in this exhibition. Narratology presents not only the artist’s trajectory\nonto the international artistic stage but also the political events\, international exhibitions\, and curators who\ncontributed to the story. \nGeorgia State University spotlights five focus countries: Brazil\, China\, South Africa\, South Korea\, and Turkey.\nNarratology focuses on the careers of an artist from each focus country: William Kentridge (born 1955\, South\nAfrica)\, Do Ho Suh (born 1962\, South Korea)\, Eli Sudbrack of the assume vivid astro focus art collective (born\n1968\, Brazil) and his sometime collaborator Christophe Hamaide-Pierson (born 1973\, France)\, Cao Fei (born\n1978\, China)\, and Orhan Pamuk (born 1952\, Turkey). \nJanuary 14 – February 26\nWelch School Galleries\, 10 Peachtree Center Ave.\nGallery hours: Monday – Friday\, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. \nFREE and open to the public! \nPlease visit cencia.gsu.edu for more information. \nFor parking information\, please visit parking.gsu.edu.
