Alfreda Turner, who formerly worked for Delta Air Lines Inc. in district sales and international commercial sales development and more recently as the founder of a global business management and consulting firm, has joined the office of South African Tourism North America.
Ms. Turner is to assist in South Africa’s efforts to strengthen its leisure trade marketing programs in the Midwest and Southeast. Although the office is located in New York, she continues to live in Atlanta.
She joins a team headed by Virginia Dionisio, trade relations manager, which is assigned to implement targeted marketing campaigns through 2015 to bolster tourism to South Africa and to provide effective training and marketing tools to the travel trade.
“With tourism from the U.S. to South Africa at an all-time high, the demand for deeper engagement with national partners is growing at a tremendous rate,” Ms. Dionisio said in a news release. “The addition of Alfreda solidifies South African Tourism’s commitment to elevating its trade presence when it’s needed most.”
Ms. Turner is continuing is considering resigning from her responsibilities as vice-chairman of the Atlanta Rio de Janeiro Sister Cities Committee because of her new responsibilities. She may be reached by email at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
